I took a hiatus from dating in 2015, and though I sometimes missed the pre-date anticipation, I am glad that I took the time to prioritize myself.
About a year ago, I discovered The (sassy) Single Woman, Mandy Hale. I was literally Googling what possibly went south in a failed relationship, when I came across her website/blog, thesinglewoman.net. Since launching her now trademarked “The Single Woman” Twitter page in 2010, Mandy has written two books, The Single Woman and I’ve Never Been To Vegas but My Luggage Has (she also has an e-book, The Single Woman’s Sassy Survival Guide: Letting Go and Moving On) with another set for release early next year!
Her first book, The Single Woman, contains female-empowering affirmations, while her latter publication is more autobiographical and explores events alluded to in The Single Woman. I was astounded by our similar relationship experiences, and as cliché as it sounds, it made me feel less alone and empowered me. Both of Mandy’s books are in the “Christian Life/Religion” category, but I suggest them to all of my friends. There are some biblical references, but I would not consider the themes of Christianity to be overwhelming for any reader.
Mandy Hale’s third book, Beautiful Uncertainty, comes out February 2, 2016!
